Winter activities
Located in the province of Salzburg, Obertauern, at 1752 metres above sea level, is the snowiest winter sports destination in Austria - the season officially runs from mid-November to the beginning of May. A total of 100 kilometres of pistes for all levels, 26 modern cable cars and lifts as well as cross-country skiing trails, toboggan runs and numerous off-piste opportunities full of powder snow fulfil the wishes of every winter sports enthusiast.
From the Clary Chalet you can get directly onto the piste and start skiing straight away. With the help of the Tauernrunde, a circular route that always brings you back to your starting point, you can explore the entire Obertauern ski area.
Ski pass prices
What Obertauern is really unbeatable for are the prices for ski passes. Obertauern is one of the few ski regions that still offers its guests the opportunity to buy a points card (from 25.50 EURO) or a 2-hour card (32.00 EURO). Sledding
If you want to go sledding with your children, you can do so right next to the Clary Chalets. If you want a real toboggan run, which is also floodlit at night, we recommend the toboggan run on the Gnadenalm - 1.5 km long, and a SKIDOO snowmobile taxi takes those who prefer a more leisurely ride up the mountain.

In summer, the Grünwaldkopf cable car and high-wire mountain railway are also open and offer a pleasant way to climb the mountain.

After an exhausting hike, a refreshing dip in the cool water is not to be missed. If you don't want to swim, go stand-up paddling in the Krummelschnabel lake or pedal-boating in the Grünwald lake.
